Twenty-five years of keeping the flame alive.
El Brasero — Spanish for "the little brazier" — was born from a simple conviction: that the best meals happen when good people gather around real fire.
When we opened our doors on SE Hawthorne in 2001, Portland was a different city — and so were we. We brought the heat of traditional grilling, the warmth of a neighborhood spot, and a menu built on ingredients we'd drive across the state to find right.
That hasn't changed. The fire in our kitchen still burns just as hot. The faces around our tables shift, but the welcome stays the same. We're still the place Portland comes to when it wants something honest, bold, and made with its hands.
